Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS)

Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS)

Information about the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS).

We are operating the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS), a pilot programme designed to help businesses save money and drive growth by providing free energy assessments and 50% match-funded grants.

The BEAS programme can help your business save energy, reduce production costs and lower carbon emissions by funding a variety of practical energy efficiency measures.

How to apply

Registrations must be completed on the central BEAS website.

For further information and enquiries please email the team: netzero@worcestershire.gov.uk

The offer

The assessment will provide recommendations for reducing energy costs and saving carbon in your business. This could include measures such as upgrading to energy-efficient lighting or optimising heating systems. Our energy advisors can help you understand how to turn your sustainability aspirations into measurable actions.

Following an energy assessment, businesses can apply for grant funding up to £100,000 for eligible energy efficiency projects across all sectors, and up to £50,000 for renewable technology like solar.

Grants are awarded on a competitive and match-funded basis, meaning the business will need to provide at least 50% of the total cost of the project.

The grant can be used to fund a variety of business activities, including, but not limited to:

  • lighting
  • compressors
  • insulation
  • fast-shutting doors
  • renewable technology
  • heat recovery
  • heaters and boilers
  • energy efficiency equipment that leads to process improvements

If you would like to discuss the grant funding available to your business in more detail, please email: grants@worcestershire.gov.uk.
