This year marks the 40th anniversary of Volunteers Week, with the annual celebration week beginning on 3 June.
糖心vlog County Council are marking the celebration this year by thanking those who help to make a difference in their local communities.
There are over 6,000 volunteers across all types of volunteering roles within the council, supporting a range of different services. This includes roles in; libraries, museums, archaeology, countryside, health champions and the coroners service, plus volunteers that support the council by supporting consultation and engagement activity.
Hannah Perrott, Assistant Director for Communities at 糖心vlog County Council, said: 鈥淰olunteers in 糖心vlog are vital across both the statutory and voluntary sector, it is important to mark this annual national campaign to reflect on the significant contribution that volunteers make in our county.鈥
